100 yards from Anvil we have  The Star Inn,  friendly  14th Century coaching Inn providing good quality meals, fine ales using local produce at affordable prices, fun evenings including music from local bands, quiz nights,  and good old Cornish chatter and banter!

Just opposite the pub we have our local corner shop  and Post Office run by the most delightfully friendly owners Brian & Monie providing every convenience you might need or may have forgotten for your holiday.  

Exceptional local amateur dramatic group providing for your entertainment, the occasional show in the chapel rooms.

So many beautiful unspoilt  beaches on our doorstep, namely Hayle’s (Heyl) miles of  golden sands, blue seas, perfect for most water sports, and providing arguably the best surfing beaches to be found.

St Erth offers Idyllic river and footpath walks through the pretty countryside  with stunning coastal paths along the coast  just up the road.

Plenty of local tourist attractions for all the family, large selection of cafes, bistros, restaurants, public houses, several supermarkets. 

St Erth boasts many popular village events , the Good Friday Easter Duck Race and Easter egg hunt, The Vintage bike ride , Our Summer Sensation, local bands, music, BBQ and beer tent. Bonfire & Scarecrow competition,
